(1864)
Jean Baptiste Arban, composer
The composer’s name is known to every brass player as the author of
the most famous method for brass playing ever written.
One of Arban’s compositions for the trumpet was the famous Carnival
of Venice, which appeared in his method book published in 1864.
The derivation of these variations is from violin virtuoso and composer
Niccolo Paganini who lived from 1782-1840.
