Clare Grundman, composer
Concertante for Eb alto saxophone and band, was composed by Clare
Grundman in 1973.
Grundman is recognized as one of the most prolific and highly respected
composers for band in America.
He earned both B.S. and M.A. degrees at Ohio State and later taught arranging
and band at that university.
Grundman’s musical activities include scores for radio, television, films,
ballet, and Broadway musicals.
His arrangements have been used by many well known entertainers.
He took special interest in composing for school bands, and school and
college bands throughout the country have performed his works.
