Adolf Terschak, composer
The great Hungarian flute virtuoso, Adolf Terschak (1832-1901), originally
composed Murillo for flute and piano.
This setting for flute and band was edited and arranged by Edwin Putkin in
1959.
The one-movement work begins with an energetic allegro section,
followed by a lyrical slow middle section.
The work ends with a return to the fast tempo of the opening section.
