march
(1906)
E. E. Bagley, composer
The National Emblem March by E. E. Bagley remains one of America’s
most popular marches, second only to Sousa’s "Stars and Stripes Forever March".
The march, written in 1906, borrows its first principal theme from our
national anthem.
The contrasting second theme and stirring trio have also become as well
known as many popular songs.
