Pack a picnic and bring the kids! Or just sit back, relax, and take a
musical journey back to childhood with Concord Band on Thursday, July 15th
at Harvard's Fruitlands Museums. The band will perform Broadway favorites
from "Annie" and "Beauty and the Beast", tuneful standards like "Teddy
Bear's Picnic", a medley from "The Wizard of Oz", and much more. So
whether you're 9 or 99, come join associate conductor Paul Berler and the
kids in the band for an evening of youthful exuberance.
The Concord Band performs at Fruitlands Museums in Harvard, MA every
Thursday night through July 29th at 7:30 PM. The gates open at 5:00
PM. Bring a picnic supper or purchase grilled items and snacks on
site. $12.00 Parking Fee, $10.00 for Museum Members.
The Concord Band, founded in 1959, is one of the leading community
concert bands in the United States. It is well known for its innovative
programming and the exceptional quality of its commissioned pieces. It
presents both formal and Pops concerts throughout the year. Its summer
concerts at Fruitlands Museums in Harvard, Massachusetts, are attended by
more than 10,000 people each year. The band's Music Director is
Dr. William G. McManus.
